What is Spontaneous Liftoff?

Spontaneous Liftoff is the Silverado Improv team that competes in the High School Jester's League which features over 24 teams from across the Las Vegas Valley.. The team is advised by Mr. Strait, Coached by 2018 League MVP Isaac Glover and is captained by Kori Shalmy and Troy Murray. The Jester's league has been in existence for the past nine years and Silverado has been involved for the last three.

In the team's first year the team went 5-2 and made it to the semi-finals before losing to eventual league champion East Tech.

In year two the team went 4-2 and lost in the second round to eventual league runner-up Chaparral.

Last year the team went 4-2 and lost to LVA in the opening round of the Playoffs

The team meets for 1-2 hours a week after drama club meetings.

The only cost associated with the club is the cost of the t-shirt, which can be personalized, and is only required for those who plan to compete. The cost for the shirt is $15.

We are allowed to send four students to compete each week. We encourage players not competing to still try to attend as occasionally alternates do have to compete.
